When your piece sells, Veil Vault earns 12% of the sale. Nothing more, nothing buried in fine print. That fee keeps the lights on, the archive curated, and the humans at their desks — and it's the only fee we take from sellers.
No listing fee, ever.
Listing on Veil Vault is free — photograph your piece, tell its story, and set your price without paying a cent up front. You only pay when it sells, and only the 12%.
Shipping priced separately, plainly.
Shipping is priced separately from the item so you always see exactly what you're paying for. No inflated prices hiding the cost of delivery.
For buyers
How buying works
Find the piece, order it, and it travels from the seller's closet to yours.

Place your order
Find the piece, review its photos and measurements, and place your order from the listing page. The seller is notified right away.

The seller ships
The seller packs your piece with care and ships it to you. Ask questions in messages before you buy — and after, if anything's unclear.

You receive your piece
It arrives cleaned, pressed, and ready for its next moment. Check it against the listing — what you saw is what should arrive.

An honest note on payments
Today Veil Vault doesn't hold funds between buyer and seller — your payment goes to the seller, and shipping is arranged directly. We're building escrow-style protection for the future, and we'll tell you plainly when it arrives.

Photograph your piece, describe it honestly, and set your price. Listing costs nothing, and your piece appears in the Vault the moment you publish it.

Pay 12% when it sells
The day your piece sells, we take 12% of the sale. If it doesn't sell, you pay nothing. No listing fee, no monthly fee, no catch.

Keep the rest
The remaining 88% is yours — plus the knowledge that your dress is going to another night, not a landfill.
The Vault's standards
What we allow — and what we don't
The collection is a promise: real pieces, honestly described — and a team that removes anything that breaks that promise.
Authentic pre-loved formalwear
The Vault holds real garments: wedding dresses, prom and pageant gowns, evening wear, suits, and accessories — genuinely pre-loved, genuinely for sale. Replicas, counterfeits, and stock photos don't belong here.
Condition, told honestly
Every listing describes its condition — new with tags, excellent, great, good, or fair — and shows real photos of the actual piece, including wear, stains, or alterations. What you see is what arrives.
Listings go live — standards hold
Listings appear in the Vault the moment they're published. Veil Vault keeps the collection honest by removing listings that break our standards — dishonest condition, borrowed photos, replicas — and by acting on every report we receive.
The reporting system
Any listing can be reported at any time. Reports go straight to our team's review queue, and they're handled by a human — not an algorithm.
Protecting yourself
Small habits, safer shopping
A few simple steps keep every transaction in the Vault — and every transaction in the Vault is one we can protect.
Ask questions in messages
Message the seller about fit, fabric, or anything a photo can't show. Sellers know their pieces — most are happy to share extra photos or a video of it moving.
Request measurements
Listings include measurements, but ask for more if you need them. Compare them to a dress you own and love — that's the truest size chart.
Check the seller's profile
Read the seller's bio, their history, and their reviews from past sales. A seller with a story and a record is a seller worth trusting.
Trust your instinct
If a deal feels too good, a message feels pressured, or a seller pushes you to pay outside the Vault — stop. That's what our reporting system is for.
Reporting
See something off? Say something.
Every listing on Veil Vault can be reported — a wrong description, a suspicious message, a piece that doesn't feel right. Your report goes straight to our team's review queue, and a human reads every single one. We act on reports fast, and we never penalize the person who made them.
The report button lives with the listing. If you're not sure how to report something, message us through Help — we'll take it from there.
